The Watchful Griffin of the Ancient Temple

What makes this design so special is the mix of strength and imagination. The powerful wings, the majestic mane, and the sharp claws invite detailed coloring, while the weathered columns and vines of the temple offer space for calmer, cozy areas of color. Big and small colorers alike are sure to find their favorite spot to start.

Tip: Myth meets mosaic

For the griffin itself, warm gold tones, bronze, or a rich reddish-brown work beautifully, just like the legendary creatures of old tales. The wings can shimmer a bit lighter, perhaps in sandy yellow or a soft beige, so they stand out from the rest of the body. The temple in the background can be wonderfully done in muted gray or moss green, making it look nicely old and a little mysterious, as if no one has set foot there for centuries.

If you like, you can come up with a little story to go along with it: What is the griffin guarding so diligently? A treasure? An ancient secret? We'll leave that entirely up to your imagination and your child's. You can download the picture for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper. Grab the colored pencils or crayons, get cozy, and the little adventure to the ancient temple can begin.
