Horse Bathing in the River Coloring Page
So glad you stopped by! This coloring page shows a horse that is clearly enjoying a splash in the cool river water. Its mane clings wetly to its neck, little droplets fly around, and you can almost feel how much fun the animal is having. For kids, a motif like this is especially appealing because it shows movement and water at the same time.

Pure splashing fun: The horse bathing in the river
Your child can really let loose while coloring: there are the horse's strong legs, the swirling waves around it, maybe a few curious fish in the water, and lush plants along the bank. Every corner of the picture invites a closer look and some color – with no time pressure, nice and relaxed at the kitchen table.
Tip: Water doesn't have to be just blue
A nice trick for lively river pictures is to mix several shades of blue and even add a touch of green or turquoise in some spots. That makes the water look much more natural and exciting right away. The horse itself can be brown, black, white and spotted, or even an unusual fantasy color – after all, that's the freedom of coloring. The mane looks especially nice with darker strokes in the base color, so it looks wet and shiny.
If you like, tell your child a little story to go along with it: maybe the horse got especially thirsty after a long ride through the forest and is happy about the cool-down in the clear river. Little stories like this make coloring even more personal. You can download the picture for free and print it out comfortably at home in A4 size – ready for a cozy afternoon with crayons or watercolors.
