The king of the savannah is waiting for bright colors
There's plenty to discover in the picture: the powerful mane, the soft fur texture, a few blades of grass on the ground, and maybe even a tree or a rock in the background. Plenty of room for little artists to grab their pencils or crayons and give the savannah its own special character.
Tip: Turn the mane into a real work of art
A lovely idea is to color the mane not in just one shade, but with several tones of brown, a touch of orange, and a bit of yellow. That gives it real depth and makes it look almost like real fur. The lion's body can be a soft golden-brown, while the landscape in the background comes to life with warm yellow for the dry grass and a strong blue for the sky.
If you like, you can make up a little story to go along with it: maybe the lion is roaring right now because the sun is setting and he's calling his family for dinner.
