A clever owl with a Christmas hat to color
What makes this picture special is the mix of nature and Christmas magic. Your child can color the owl's soft feathers, her big round eyes, the gnarled branch, and of course the fluffy hat with its little pom-pom on top. Every detail invites close looking and creative coloring.
Tip: feathers in many shades of brown
An owl doesn't have to be just brown. Try out different shades of brown together, a bit of gray, and even a touch of beige for the feathers, it makes the picture look especially lively. The Christmas hat can be classic red with a white pom-pom, or your child can invent their own favorite color for it. The branch can be colored a nice wood brown, and if you like, you can conjure up a few snowflakes in the background.
Maybe you can come up with a little story together: Is the owl waiting for Santa Claus flying by at night, or is she simply keeping a cozy, warm watch over the snowy forest? You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper. Then it's time to start with crayons, wax crayons, or felt-tip pens, whatever you have handy right now.
