Dear parents, grandmas, grandpas and everyone else currently holding a crayon: this coloring page shows a penguin in his very own favorite moment. He stands on a small ice floe, takes a running start, and slides headfirst into the chilly sea. You can almost picture the happy squeal he lets out as he goes.

Splish, splash: the sliding-happy penguin on his ice floe
There is plenty to discover here for little artists. The round ice floe, the waves of the sea, and of course the penguin himself with his typical black-and-white feathers are all waiting to be filled with color. Even the little splashes and bubbles in the water invite a closer look and careful coloring.
Tip for cool colors and fresh ideas
The picture looks especially lovely when the sea is colored in different shades of blue, from light turquoise to deep navy. The ice floe can happily be given a soft light blue or even a gentle lilac so it sparkles like real ice. The penguin himself doesn't need much color, but his little orange-red beak and feet add a cheerful contrast to the cool background.
If you like, tell a little story while coloring: maybe the penguin is on his way to his friends, who are already waiting for him in the water, or perhaps he's just practicing for the big sliding contest the next day. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on standard letter size paper, and then the penguin can begin his journey into the colorful sea.
