Rhino with Oxpecker Bird on Its Nose Coloring Page

So glad you stopped by! Today we have a coloring page where two really unlikely friends share the spotlight. The rhino stands there like a rock, with its thick, wrinkly skin and proud horn. And right at the top, perched on its nose, a little oxpecker bird has made itself at home, as if that were the comfiest spot in the whole savanna.

Thick skin, little friend: The rhino and its oxpecker bird

There's plenty for kids to discover here. The rhino's rough skin folds invite careful looking and coloring, while the little bird with its delicate feathers makes a lovely contrast. Big and small, grey and colorful, calm and quick – this picture tells a little story of friendship, without a single word.

Coloring idea: Grey giants and colorful birds

The rhino can happily be colored in various shades of grey, from light silver-grey to a deep slate grey in the folds. This gives the skin a nice sense of depth. The oxpecker bird, on the other hand, can look a bit cheekier, for example with a rusty red beak, a creamy belly, and a warm brown back. If you like, you can hint at a rich savanna green or a dusty beige in the background, so the two friends get their habitat too.

You can imagine how the bird chirps little stories into the rhino's ear while searching for insects on its skin, a nice little explanation for curious kids. You can download the coloring page with the rhino and its oxpecker bird on its nose for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are some pens, a quiet moment, and the friendship can become colorful.
