A wolf sits under a tree in the silvery moonlight
Your child can design the wolf’s fluffy fur, the gnarled tree trunk and the big moon however they like. Perhaps a star is twinkling between the branches, or a little beetle is hiding in the grass – after all, on a moonlit night, almost anything is possible. Let’s just hope the wolf stays awake, or he might snore at the moon!
Color ideas for a magical forest night
Dark blue, violet or a soft gray are perfect for the sky. The moon can shine in pale yellow, cream or even pure white. The wolf’s fur can be classic gray, brown or black; with lighter patches on its chest and muzzle, it will look especially soft. You can color the tree in warm shades of brown and make the grass look lively with different shades of green.
While coloring, perhaps you can tell the story of why the wolf is sitting under the tree: Is he waiting for his friends, listening to an owl, or counting the stars? You can download the coloring page “Wolf Sitting Under a Tree in the Moonlight” for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are some colored pencils, a cozy spot and a little nighttime magic.
