Where the River Meets the Sea: A Coloring Page Discovery
Your child gets to color two worlds at once here: the freshwater of the river with its gentle curves, and the salty sea with waves stretching all the way to the horizon. Together you might also spot sandbanks, a few birds along the shore, or little boats traveling between the two watery worlds. Every detail invites a closer look and plenty of colorful creativity.
Tip: Two shades of blue, one picture
A nice trick when coloring is to give the river a lighter, almost turquoise blue, while the sea shines in a deeper, darker blue. This really brings the transition between the two bodies of water to life, and your child can clearly see where the river ends and the sea begins. For the sand, try mixing warm yellow and beige tones, and feel free to let the sky glow in soft pink or orange, as if the sun were just setting. Simply download the coloring page for free and print it out at home on a sheet of A4 paper. Then all you need are some crayons, a cozy corner, and the colorful journey from the river mouth out into the open sea can begin.
