The Sculptor and Her Wooden Figure to Color
There's plenty for kids to discover here. The sculptor with her apron and tools, the wooden figure slowly taking shape, and all around, little wood shavings scattered on the floor. Some children like to color the figure first, others start with the workshop around it. Both ways are exactly right.
Tip: Experiment with wood tones
Warm brown tones work especially well for the wooden figure, from light beige to a rich chestnut brown. If you like, you can leave a few spots uncolored, so it looks as if the wood is still shining through in its raw state here and there. The sculptor's clothing, on the other hand, can be nice and colorful, a bold red or a deep blue makes a lovely contrast to the earthy colors of the workshop.
