Sunbathing Time for the Snake on the Desert Rock
This design is perfect for anyone who loves animals that are a little different from the usual dogs and cats. Your child can trace the snake's curvy lines, discover the little scale patterns, and think about just how colorful a desert snake might really look. All around, a few cacti and sand dunes are also waiting to be filled with color.
Coloring Idea: From Sandy Yellow to Desert Red
Warm beige and gray tones work great for the rock, almost as if the sun had been warming it all day long. The snake itself can be as imaginative as you like – whether in true desert colors like sandy brown and olive green, or in bold turquoise and orange, as if it were a very special discovery. Soft yellow and pink tones are perfect for the background, reminiscent of a desert sunset.
If you like, you can even dream up a little story while coloring: What's the snake's name, and what might it be dreaming about while it suns itself? You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on standard letter size. All you need then are some crayons, a quiet little moment, and the desert snake is ready for its colors.
