Buzz, buzz, buzz: A swarm of bees to color

The picture shows several bees with striped bodies, delicate wings, and big round eyes, buzzing around among the flowers. Your child can design not just the bees themselves, but also the blossoms, grass, and maybe even a little beehive in the background. That leaves plenty of space to really dig in with crayons or colored pencils.

Coloring idea: Make each bee a little different

A nice tip is not to color all the bees exactly the same. Maybe one bee gets a bolder yellow, another a bit more orange in its stripes, and the wings can shimmer softly and transparently in light blue or gray. That way the whole swarm feels alive, almost as if it's about to buzz right off the page. The flowers around them invite experimenting too, whether in sunny yellow, cheerful red, or dreamy purple.

If you like, you can make up a little story while coloring: which bee is the leader of the swarm, and where might they all be flying together right now? You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on a regular A4 sheet. Then all you need are some pencils, a cozy corner, and the swarm of bees is ready to come to life in color.
