Coloring Idea: Fire Colors That Really Glow
For a true phoenix feel, red, orange, and yellow work especially well. Along the edges of the wings, it can turn lighter, as if the fire is about to drift away. If you like, give the two birds different shades so they're easier to tell apart in their dance - maybe one in warm red, the other in sunny yellow with small turquoise accents for contrast.
