Zebra Foal with Its Mother Coloring Page

So glad you stopped by! This coloring page shows a zebra foal standing very close to its mother, just as it would in the wild. The two striped animals stand side by side, almost as if they were having a little chat, and that's exactly what makes this scene so cozy and lovable.

A zebra foal snuggles up to its mom

Your child can discover and color in the typical zebra stripes here, along with the round button eyes, the little hooves, and maybe a few blades of grass or clouds in the background. Since the mother and foal are drawn in different sizes, it's also a wonderful chance to talk about big and small animals while coloring.

Counting stripes and mixing colors

A little tip for along the way: let your child try counting the foal's stripes before starting to color, that encourages calm concentration and sneaks in a bit of math practice along the way. Zebras are of course classically colored black and white, but if you like, you can also work with shades of gray or color the landscape around them in rich green and warm sandy brown, bringing the African savanna to life.

Maybe you can come up with a little story together, for example how the foal takes its very first steps across the wide steppe, always staying close to its mom's side. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out easily at home on A4 paper, then nothing stands in the way of a cozy coloring afternoon together.
