Little Artist with Palette and Brush to Color
There is plenty to discover and color on this picture. The palette with its many little blobs of paint practically invites your child to experiment, and the artist's clothing, maybe a smock or a fancy apron, can be colored in to their heart's content. That way, a simple line drawing becomes a little painting within a painting.
Tip: Use the palette as a color experiment
A lovely idea is to color each blob of paint on the palette in a different color and then see which color ends up dominating the artist's picture. Together you can imagine what the artist might be painting, perhaps a sunset in orange and pink or a green meadow full of flowers. Of course, the brush shouldn't be forgotten either, and can be made extra lively with a few dabs of color.
