An elephant seen from above: the unusual bird's-eye view

Seen from above, the elephant shows off its mighty ears like two big fans, its curved trunk, and its round feet, which almost look like little islands. Your children can playfully discover here that one and the same animal can look completely different from different angles. This makes them want to look closely and start coloring.

Coloring idea: The elephant takes a mud bath

How about keeping the trunk a strong gray, while a mud puddle in warm brown forms all around it? Many children like to color elephants with a touch of pink on the edges of their ears, which looks especially cute. Little splashes of water in light blue around the feet also bring the picture to life, as if the elephant were happily splashing about.

You can download this special coloring page quickly and for free, and print it out at home at your leisure, for example in the handy A4 format. Then all you need are colored pencils or watercolors, and the elephant from a bird's-eye view can shine in your favorite colors. Maybe while coloring together you'll discover even more exciting details that you'd otherwise never see from above.
