Your child can color the wobbly rail track winding down the mountain, along with the trees and rocks lining the route, and of course the gnome himself with his fluttering beard. Little details like flowers along the path or clouds in the background also invite discovery and coloring.
Coloring Idea: From Calm to Fast-Paced
A nice trick is to change the colors depending on the stretch of track. Up on the mountain, where the railway is still rolling along gently, calm tones like light blue or soft green work well. The further the railway races down the slope, the bolder and livelier the colors can become, for example bright orange or deep red for the rails. This almost automatically creates a feeling of speed on the paper.
Classic colors suit the gnome himself: a red little jacket, blue trousers, and of course the essential colorful pointed hat.
