Hop, hop, way up high: The jumping kangaroo on the rainbow
You can see a kangaroo mid-jump, arms stretched out and a big grin on its face, as it leaps over a large, curving rainbow. Below, a few clouds, blades of grass, or little stars might be waiting for some color too. Your child can really let their imagination run wild here, from the kangaroo's sturdy pouch to each individual stripe of the rainbow.
Tip: Mix colors freely, just like a real rainbow
One nice approach is to color the rainbow in the classic colors, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, while keeping the kangaroo in earthy tones like brown or beige. But it's just as much fun if the kangaroo suddenly turns pink or the rainbow is made entirely of favorite colors. There's no wrong way here, just lots of colorful possibilities.
Maybe in between coloring you can tell your child a little story about why the kangaroo is jumping over the rainbow. Is it looking for treasure at the end? Or does it simply want to soar up high? You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper, and the little leap into color can begin.
