A Slithering Friendship: Little Snake with Butterfly
Your kids can really let loose while coloring: the snake winds in gentle curves across the page, the butterfly spreads its wings, and all around there's still plenty of room for grass, flowers, or maybe even a few little clouds. Every detail invites them to paint their own little story with crayons or colored pencils.
Tip: Dream up a pattern for the snake's skin
It's especially fun when the snake doesn't wear a plain, single-colored coat but instead gets a pattern of stripes, dots, or little diamonds. Green and yellow give it a cheeky jungle look, while blue and turquoise make the snake look more like a calm water creature. The butterfly can shimmer in bold orange, pink, or purple so it really stands out next to the snake.
If you like, make up a little story while you color: maybe the snake asks the butterfly what it feels like to fly, and the butterfly tells about colorful flower meadows. You can download this coloring page easily and for free, and print it at home on standard paper – and the next cozy coloring afternoon is ready to go.
