A quick ostrich strides through the desert
Your child can color in the ostrich's long legs here, its small wings and its curious gaze. All around, gentle sand dunes and maybe a cactus at the edge are waiting to be brought to life with color. This creates a little getaway to a distant, warm world along the way.
Tip: Capture the desert mood with warm tones
Various shades of yellow and orange work especially well for the sand, and a few lighter and darker patches add extra texture. The ostrich itself can be kept in brown or gray, with a touch of pink for the legs, which usually already looks very lively. If you like, let the sky shine in soft blue, or choose a warm sunset glow if the ostrich happens to be out and about at dusk.
Maybe you can come up with a little story together: where is the ostrich hurrying off to? Is it looking for its family, or just a shady spot? Little flights of imagination like these make coloring even more fun. You can download the picture for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper, and then the desert journey with crayons can begin.
