Dear parents, before an aircraft takes off, everything is checked very carefully – and that is exactly what this cheerful coloring page shows. A pilot is standing next to her aircraft during the pre-flight inspection, making sure everything is ready for the next journey. For little airplane fans, it is a picture full of exciting details and a good dose of wanderlust.

The pilot checks her aircraft before takeoff
Your child can color in the pilot with her uniform, cap and perhaps a bright safety vest. There is also lots to discover on the aircraft: the large fuselage, wings, windows, wheels and cockpit. Maybe a sunny holiday destination is already waiting beyond the clouds – or perhaps the aircraft is simply flying to the secret Cookie Island. Of course, imagination is welcome on board too.
Which colors are flying along today?
Classic white and gray work well for the aircraft, but so does a red stripe, blue wing tips or a brightly colored fuselage. The pilot could wear a dark blue uniform while her scarf flutters in the wind in red, yellow or her favorite color. With a light blue sky, white clouds and a green runway, the picture gets a cheerful backdrop.
You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are colored pencils, markers or crayons, and the pre-flight inspection can begin. Perhaps while coloring, you can talk together about where the pilot is flying today and who might be sitting by the window on the aircraft.
