Ahoy! A sailboat is waiting for bright colors
Your child can color the big sail, the bow of the boat, the waves below, and maybe even a few seagulls in the sky. There's plenty to discover without the picture feeling overloaded. That leaves plenty of room for their own ideas too.
Tip: Bring the wind and water to life
Bold red, blue, or yellow work especially well for the sail, and they look great decorated with stripes or little patterns. The water can be painted in several shades of blue, from light turquoise to dark navy, making the waves look much more lively. The hull can be colored in a warm wood-brown, as if it were freshly built.
If you like, make up a little story to go with it: where is the boat sailing to? A lonely island, or just the next harbor? You can download this coloring page for free and print it out at home on standard letter size. All you need then are crayons or wax crayons, and the sea voyage can begin.
