Sculptor Chiseling a Dragon from Rock Coloring Page
Dear parents, imagine a dragon sleeping right in the middle of a huge block of stone, just waiting to be freed by skillful hands. That's exactly what's happening in this coloring page. A sculptor stands with hammer and chisel in front of his block of rock, working with great concentration on the scales, wings, and snout of his stone dragon.

The Sculptor and His Dragon of Stone
There's so much for your children to discover and color in here. The rock itself with its rough edges, the sculptor's tools, his work clothes, and of course the dragon slowly emerging from the stone. Some parts of the dragon are already finished, while others are still stuck in the raw rock, which makes this picture especially exciting to color.
Tip: Gray, but colorful in the details
Stone is usually gray, but that doesn't have to limit your child. Try out different shades of gray for the rock, from light to almost black, that already creates a lovely sense of depth. The dragon, on the other hand, can get some real color, maybe it shimmers gold or green, as if the stone were revealing very special qualities. The sculptor himself will surely be happy with bold trousers and an eye-catching shirt.
Anyone who likes can also come up with a little story to go along with it, for example whether the dragon ends up looking fire-breathing or completely peaceful. You can download this coloring page for free and print it out comfortably at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are some pens and the little workshop for budding artists can begin.
