Flappy Flying Lesson: The Young Griffin Dares Its First Hop Into the Air
Your child can really let loose here, because the little griffin combines two animals in one: the strong lion's body and the proud eagle's head with its big wings. Claws, a tufted tail, feather patterns on the neck, and big trusting eyes offer plenty of areas to color in, without ever getting too tricky.
Coloring Idea: Bold Colors for a Bold Creature
Since a griffin comes straight from imagination, there are no wrong colors here. The lion's body can be sandy yellow or golden brown, the wings perhaps a rich reddish-brown or even a cheeky turquoise, if your child would rather create a fantasy creature than a true-to-life animal. A dark gray works well for the claws, and a touch of gold on the feather tips instantly makes the young flier look much more noble.
If you like, tell a little story while coloring: how the griffin lifts off the cliff for the first time today, wobbles for a moment, and then bravely dares to take to the air after all. You can download the coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on A4 paper, so nothing stands in the way of your shared coloring and flying adventure.
