The hard-working farmer mends the fence
This motif is full of little details that will delight your children. There's the farmer himself in his work clothes, the toolbox beside him, the lush pasture in the background, and surely a few curious animals watching what's going on. Plenty of room for happy coloring and little stories your children can make up along the way.
Tip: From the sky to the rubber boots
It's best to start at the top and work your way down. The sky can get a bold blue, the meadow a lush green, and earthy brown tones work especially well for the fence. The farmer's work clothes can be bright and bold, after all, you're allowed to stand out while fixing a fence. Maybe he'll get a red cap or striped rubber boots.
If you like, you can also come up with a little story about why the fence was broken in the first place. Was it the wind, a curious sheep, or just the age of the wood?
