Diving in allowed: children snorkeling at the reef
What makes this picture special is the variety found underwater. There are fish of all shapes, maybe a curious sea turtle, and of course the reef itself with its winding coral branches. Your child can decide whether the water should shine deep blue or more turquoise, and whether the fish should be striped, spotted, or simply patterned in bright colors.
Coloring idea: An underwater rainbow
A lovely approach is to give each fish its own color, so that in the end a little underwater rainbow appears. The corals can happily shine in pink, orange, or even unusual purple, because real reefs are, luckily, surprisingly colorful. The water itself can be beautifully shaded with lighter and darker blue tones to make it look really deep.
If you like, tell a little story while coloring: the children in the picture are just discovering their favorite animal in the reef, what could it be? That invites some chatting while coloring. You can download this coloring page for free and easily print it at home on A4 paper. Then all you need are some pens, a quiet little spot, and the little snorkeling trip on paper can begin.
