The hardworking farmer swings the scythe: a coloring page like in the good old days
What makes this picture special is the lovely mix of movement and calm. Your child can color in the sturdy farmer in his traditional clothing, along with the tall grass, maybe a few flowers along the path, and of course the sky above. Little details like a bird flying by or a haystack in the background also invite creative coloring.
Coloring tip: green isn't just green
Try not coloring the meadow with just one single shade of green. Bright spring green, lush meadow green, and a bit of yellowish hay here and there will make the picture come alive right away. The farmer's trousers could shine in an earthy brown or blue, and a simple white or checkered shirt fits the rural scene wonderfully.
If you'd like, tell your child a little story along the way: the farmer is mowing the meadow so the cows will have fresh hay for the winter later on. That way, coloring becomes a little trip to the countryside. You can download this picture easily and completely free of charge, and print it out at home on A4 paper at your leisure. Then all you need are crayons or colored pencils, a cozy spot to sit, and the little artist can get started making the meadow bloom in their favorite colors.
