A Pegasus Quenches Its Thirst at a Rushing Waterfall

Your children can really let loose on the many details while coloring. There's the flowing mane, the individual feathers of the wings, the rocks around the waterfall, and of course the flowing water itself. Plenty of room for big and small hands alike, for delicate lines and bold splashes of color.

Tip: Contrast the Water and the Coat

A lovely effect appears when the Pegasus is colored in warm tones like cream white, silver gray, or soft pink, while the water stays in cool blues and turquoise. That way the mythical creature practically leaps out of the picture. The mane can shimmer too, maybe with a touch of purple or gold, whatever your child's imagination comes up with. The surrounding rocks work well in brown tones with a bit of moss green, which quickly looks very natural.

If you like, you can make up a little story to go with it, for example why the Pegasus is resting at this particular waterfall and where it wants to fly off to next. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home on standard letter size. Then all you need are some pencils, a quiet corner, and the coloring fun can begin.
