River in Winter with Ice Floes Coloring Page
Dear parents, imagine a river that has transformed into a sparkling winter landscape. That's exactly what this coloring page shows: ice floes drifting gently on the water, a thick blanket of snow along the riverbank, and maybe your child will even spot a few birds curiously peeking in despite the cold. It's a calm, wintery scene that invites daydreaming.

An icy river is waiting for bright colors
What makes this picture especially lovely is the mix of clear shapes and little details. The ice floes can be colored in individually, the water in between shimmers in different shades of blue, and the sky offers space for soft clouds or a bit of sun. This turns a simple river landscape into a little winter adventure on paper.
Tip: Capture the wintery mood with cool colors
Light blue and turquoise tones work well for the ice floes, ideally with little white highlights for the shine of the ice. The river water in between can stay a bit darker so the floes really stand out. The snow on the riverbank is traditionally white or a very pale gray, while the sky can glow in a gentle light blue or even a soft pink for a winter sunset. But your child is also welcome to be bold and choose their very own colors – maybe the river will turn purple, why not.
You can imagine how the ice floes quietly bump into each other and the river gently ripples along under the cold air. You can keep spinning this little story together while coloring. The coloring page can be downloaded for free and printed easily at home on A4 paper, so nothing stands in the way of a cozy afternoon with crayons.
