A creative sculptor brings her cat statue to life
What makes this picture especially fun is how much there is to discover. Your kids can color the sculptor's apron, give her tools a bright look, and of course bring the cat statue itself to life. The studio, with its shelves, sketches, and little artworks, also leaves plenty of room for their own ideas and colorful imagination.
Coloring idea: stone, clay, or a colorful fantasy cat?
Why not ask your kids what material they think the cat should be made of? Should it look like it was carved from gray stone, warm like clay in earthy tones, or can it be purple with golden spots? There's no right or wrong here, just plenty of room for creativity.
While coloring, you might also tell a little story together: how the sculptor came up with the idea for the cat, how it slowly takes shape piece by piece, and how in the end it becomes truly special and unique, just like the picture your child is about to create. You can download this coloring page for free and print it comfortably at home, for example on A4 paper. All you need then are some pens, a bit of time, and your little artist can get started bringing color and life to their very own cat statue.
