Big parade, big balloons: The Thanksgiving coloring page with balloon characters

Your child can really let loose here: the big balloon characters offer plenty of room for bold colors, while the details along the roadside, little flags, streamers and curious faces, invite a closer look. In no time at all, a simple sheet of paper turns into your very own little parade for the kids' room.

Coloring tip: capturing air and lightness

To make the balloons really look like they're floating, it's worth starting with light colors and adding the shading only at the end. A soft sky blue in the background makes the figures seem to lift right off the page, while bold red, yellow or orange gives the giant balloons plenty of volume. The crowd on the ground can be colored in a cheerful jumble, after all, at a parade everything is a happy mix of colors and voices anyway.

If you like, make up a little story together with your child: Which character floats the highest? Who's calling out to it from the sidewalk? You can download the coloring page completely free of charge and print it comfortably at home on regular A4 paper. Then your very own little Thanksgiving parade can start right on the living room table, with crayons instead of confetti.
