Princess with Lantern in the Castle Courtyard Coloring Page
So glad you stopped by! When it gets dark early outside, sometimes all it takes is one little light to make everything feel a bit more magical. That's exactly what's happening in this coloring page: a princess stands in the middle of the castle courtyard, proudly holding her lantern up high. Maybe she's waiting for someone, or maybe she's simply exploring the quiet of the evening – your kids can decide for themselves while they color.

A princess with a lantern lights up the castle courtyard
What makes this motif special is the mix of calm evening atmosphere and sparkling princess charm. There's a splendid dress with lots of folds, a little crown in her hair, and of course the lantern, which practically calls out for a warm color. In the background, the castle towers with its walls and windows, through which a light or two might already be shimmering. Plenty of room, then, for little artists' hands to get creative.
Tip: Play with light and shadow
A lovely coloring trick for this motif is to deliberately play with light and dark colors. The lantern's glow can shine in warm yellow or orange, while the surroundings are kept in deeper blue or violet – this creates the impression of real evening light. The princess's dress can appear in bold pink, turquoise, or even royal purple, finished off with golden accents on the crown and hem.
Just download the picture for free and print it out at home on A4 paper, and the evening coloring adventure can begin. Maybe tell a little story along the way while colorful pencils wander across the paper and the castle courtyard slowly comes to life.
