A whale and its feathered friends to color
Your child can really let loose here, because there's so much to discover. The big, gentle lines of the whale's body invite calm, broad strokes of color, while the little birds with their outstretched wings are more a job for patient fingers and fine pens. Between the water and the clouds there's plenty of room for their own ideas and little details.
Coloring idea: A sky full of colors
What if the whale isn't blue, but turquoise or even purple? Anything that's fun is allowed. Feel free to mix up the birds too, some gray, some yellow or red, so the flock looks lively and varied. Soft gradients from blue to white work well for the background, as if the sun were just peeking out from behind the clouds.
Maybe you can tell a little story while you color: the whale surfaces to wave hello to the birds before disappearing back into the deep. Little stories like this make coloring even more personal.
