The Willow by the Pond: a peaceful spot to color
The willow, with its many slender leaves, invites patient stroke-by-stroke coloring, while the pond below offers plenty of room for wavy lines, water lilies, or curious frogs. Some children even spot a duck or a few fish in the water, which come wonderfully to life with colored pencils.
Tip: Experiment with shades of green
Willows are known for their soft, almost silvery green. Why not try mixing several shades of green, from a bright spring green to a deeper moss green, to make the branches feel alive. The pond can shimmer in blues and turquoises, with a few white highlights that look like sunlight reflections.
If you like, you can tell a little story while coloring: maybe a tiny goblin lives under the willow and greets the ducks every morning before the sun climbs over the pond. Stories like this make coloring even more exciting and invite kids to keep imagining. You can download this coloring page easily and for free, then print it at home at your leisure, ideally on regular A4 paper. That way you'll have a relaxing activity ready for a rainy afternoon or a cozy weekend moment.
